New Motorcycle Warranty

Every new motorcycle purchased from Superrays Motors is covered by the following warranty.

Item Coverage
What is covered Engine internals and gearbox of new motorcycles purchased directly from Superrays Motors.
Duration 6 months from the date of delivery.
Conditions The motorcycle must have received a Superrays pre-delivery inspection, been serviced according to the recommended schedule, and only genuine or approved parts must have been used for any maintenance or repairs.
How to claim Contact us with your purchase details and a description of the issue. Bring the bike to our workshop for inspection. If the fault is covered, we will carry out the repair at no charge.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The following items and circumstances are excluded from warranty coverage. These are standard exclusions for motorcycle warranties and are listed here so you know exactly where you stand.

Wear Items

Parts that wear out through normal use and are replaced through regular maintenance:

  • Brake pads and shoes
  • Chain and sprockets
  • Tyres and tubes
  • Cables (clutch, throttle, brake)
  • Spark plugs
  • Filters (oil, air, fuel)
  • Bulbs and fuses

Damage and Misuse

The warranty does not cover:

  • Crash or accident damage
  • Damage from overloading beyond the bike’s rated capacity
  • Damage from racing or deliberate abuse
  • Damage from flooding, submersion, or natural disasters

Modifications and Neglect

The warranty does not cover:

  • Unauthorised modifications or aftermarket alterations
  • Neglected maintenance (overdue oil changes, ignored service schedule)
  • Use of non-genuine or substandard replacement parts
  • Repairs carried out by unauthorised workshops for warranty-related issues

Workshop Warranty

Workshop-installed parts and related labour carry their own warranty, separate from the new-bike warranty.

Item Coverage
What is covered New or reconditioned parts installed by our workshop during a paid service or repair, and the related labour.
Duration As stated on your job card or invoice. In the absence of a longer stated period, a reasonable warranty period applies in line with Sierra Leone consumer protection law.
Conditions The part must have been installed by our workshop. Faults caused by subsequent misuse, accident, or third-party interference are excluded.
How to claim Return to our workshop with your job card or invoice. We will inspect the work and, if the issue is covered, correct it at no additional charge.

Your Statutory Consumer Rights

Sierra Leone’s Consumer Protection Act 2020 gives you important rights when buying goods. Here is a plain-language summary of the key points that apply to motorcycle purchases.

Quality and Safety

You have the right to receive goods that are safe and of acceptable quality. Every new Superrays motorcycle is prepared and delivered to meet these standards.

Remedy for Qualifying Faults

If a qualifying fault appears shortly after delivery, you may be entitled to have the goods repaired, replaced, or refunded. The appropriate remedy depends on the nature and timing of the fault.

Repaired Goods Protection

If goods are repaired and the same fault reappears within the applicable legal period, you may be entitled to replacement or refund rather than another repair.

Your Rights Cannot Be Waived

Contract terms that attempt to exclude or restrict your statutory rights are void under the Act. Our warranty is in addition to your legal protections, not a replacement for them.

Important: This policy is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you may have under applicable Sierra Leone law. Nothing on this page should be read as reducing your statutory consumer protections.
